Now I WILL admit that I have a low-end Dell laptop that can't handle HDR and the like, so I'm going to bear that in mind while I criticize the performance of this mod. It was very satisfying.īut as great as all that is, I was incredibly annoyed by the dip in performance this mod caused. Having played this mod all the way through, I can say that all the weapons are extremely cool, especially the 'special' ones, like the flamethrower, and the missile strike. The new intro improved the immersion of starting a new game. Onto the game proper, I liked the new intro better than the regular CoP one, where it just drops you in the middle of the woods. or, well, depending on your tastes that is. Once you get passed that, you're pretty golden.
But all that aside, I never once got a CTD. However, I still felt uncomfortable with the boot-up, considering it opens up the Windows command console every time.
So the mod DOES work, you just have to look real carefully at the installer. But underneath those characters I saw poorly translated English in small text stuck between parentheses, one of them had the word 'steam' in them so that's the one I chose, and it managed to work. Between the Cyrillic, and these other strange characters in the installer itself that I can't identify, it was a bit annoying. But I do have some gripes.įirst of all is the installer. So I overall think this is a decent mod, in that is gives what it promises: lots of new and fun weapons and higher difficulty. it's like I'm shooting with 2 inch barrel that flaps around w/o rifling. There are shitty weapons like smgs, shotguns and pistols and then there are rifles that fucks shit up badly.Ĥ. Rifles and some other weapons have half of bullet speed what they should. Any stalker would choose to use silencer since it attracts less wildlife, removes muzzle flash, somewhat hides position.ģ.
Silencers are totally out of line, they should minor increase/stay the same bullet speed, reduce recoil a bit(maybe 5% reduce) and not affect accuracy.
Tough there are some things I don't like:ġ. Weapon models are very good, having "that feeling" Cobra sight, eo-tech addons are totally awesome
